Moments of lucidity, windows into the invisible realm of archetypal energies and spirit, this is what I work to create in my paintings. Studies with African Shaman, Malidoma Somé, a set of initiatory experiences in Africa, work with Qero pacos, and my deep dive into the psychology of Carl Jung inform my work. I immerse myself in a dialogue with unseen forces as I work to make these forces visible. Gesture, movement and strong color are my primary tools. This dialogue filled with action and experiment manifests in the finished painting. The viewer completes the creative process.

A.D. Andrews creates oi paintings of landscapes, people, houses, flowers, etc. His painting composition is restated to beauty of nature, happiness in the world or in other words, he paints positive presentations. He paints from photographs, still life, and also does plain air paintings. Al's oil paintings are selected after very careful consideration. If he is attracted to it, he will paint it.
Early oil paintings were from his farm life, which occurred in Georgia. He has a farm background and is very proud of it. His grandparents believed in working hard to achieve the prelates harvest, and installed strong work habits in him. His paintings reflect this philosophy because they are detailed paintings.
Albert Andrews is a fine art oil painter who proudly displays and sells diverse work at The Essex Studios in Cincinnati. His painting caree was initiated when his wife gave him a oil painting course for his birthday, approximately twenty years ago. Later, he took courses from The Art Academy(Carin Hebenstreit), which really launched his art career.
